About the Opportunity

Nuclear Power Programmes are delivering client critical works to some of our major UK and European Projects. Our embedded teams are delivering support to Hinkley Point C (New build power station in the South West), Sizewell C (located in the South East), helping develop technologies in SMR (Small modular Reactor) capability and working towards building Poland’s first Nuclear Power station.

Working in both client facing and internal roles we are delivering major programme and project management capabilities throughout the project lifecycle. We are driving to deliver safe, high quality and to time solutions by thinking innovatively and working collaboratively.

Jacobs acts as the Technical Advisor to PEJ Sp z o.o. (PEJ), which is the state-owned entity responsible for delivering Poland’s nuclear power programme. The Technical Advisor’s role is that of an “Owner’s Engineer”, which is not involved directly in any NPP design or construction activity, but rather acts as an advocate for the Client, applying technical due diligence to all aspects of the process, along with supply chain and contract management support for plant and equipment vendors engaged by the Client.

Reporting to our Country Manager, the Capability and Centre of Excellence Development Manager plays a critical role in enhancing the company’s reputation, contributing positively to the community, aligning the organization’s values with the needs and aspirations of the community. This position embodies our commitment to being a responsible corporate employer. Key accountabilities:

  • Market analysis and selection of initiatives related to nuclear energy, which the company should initiate or participate.
  • Establishing relationships with universities and research units, institutions, and associations, related to nuclear power.
  • Development and editing of communication materials (press releases, expert comments, analyzes and recommendations).
  • Organization and implementation of branded events.
  • Recruitment marketing (preparation and dissemination of promotional and advertising materials, contact with the media and institutions).
  • Establishing and nurturing relationships with community leaders, local organizations, and residents.
  • Collaboration with government agencies, nonprofits, and other stakeholders to identify opportunities for mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Development and implementation of community engagement strategies.
  • Organizing and participation in community events, meetings, and forums.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
  • Relevant Degree or Education / Demonstrated experience in a similar role.
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities.
  • Excellent influencing, negotiation, and interpersonal communication skills as well as establishing effective relations with Universities and Educational bodies.
  • Experience in a relevant field (e.g., Community Development, Public Relations, Sociology, Education, Marketing).
  • Experience in events coordination (planning, budgeting, organization)
  • Able to travel locally and internationally 35% of standard working time.
  • Fluent English and Polish
