The Role

Focus on leading broad Global Data operations, managing the people, resources, and information systems to deliver effective and efficient Master Data processes for Imperial Brands entities. In addition, the person will be responsible for maintaining the transition process for the growing DS Tower.

Key Accountabilities

Financial Control

  • Daily team management to assure effective and efficient resource allocation
  • Work with other DS stakeholders including O2C, P2P, R2R GPOs, Procurement, IBM, superusers and IS for business process change, including continuous process improvements and the rollout of new technologies for CoC processes
  • Implement proposed business / process changes
  • Responsible for operational reporting
  • Work collaboratively with Imperial Brand entities to provide efficient and effective processing in line with the KPIs/SLAs agreed with the retained teams in markets, clusters, regions and Group head office
  • Ensure compliance with group policies and group internal controls framework
  • Proactively drives individual and team performance to achieve results

Transition Management

  • Support Receiving Organisation setup by supporting hiring, onboarding and training of DS team members

Critical Decisions

  • Accountable for promotions and hiring within DS Tower
  • Accountable for decisions relating to overall performance of the DS delivery tower

Key Relationships

  • Procurement - support and resolve Procurement queries on supplier data
  • Cluster/ Market Finance Team
  • IT
  • FSS Team

Skills and Experience


  • Experience in team management of 5-15 members teams
  • Understanding of Global Master data management – Customers, Suppliers, Financial Data
  • Experience in SAP or other ERP system
  • Experience in process mapping, process improvements and automations
  • Understanding of KPI/SLA and Service governance framework concepts
  • Master’s
  • Fluent in English
  • 6-9 years of experience in MDM in the international environment - preferably SSC/BPO
  • Managing a team of 8-10 FTEs
  • Ability to present data and findings in a clear and concise way
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and consistently delivering high quality work


  • Ability to work and thrive in highly ambiguous environments with ever-changing priorities
  • Ability to adapt to different cultures, intercultural sensitivity
