Job Description

Danfoss is looking for self-driven person with strong focus on results delivery, able to prioritize and tackle many tasks at the same time, capable to manage small teams of experts supporting problem solving.

The Supplier Quality Engineer provides technical quality leadership and support to operational areas and suppliers, focuses on the evaluation and troubleshooting non-compliant components.

Good sense of humor, strong team player with effective communication skills, self-management and willingness to overcome barriers in win – win model is valued high on this position.

Position requires occasional travels across Europe and Asia (max 30 days per year).

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

• Plan and control PPAP approval process for suppliers and components after changes, including resource planning and coordination with Manufacturing, Engineering and Procurement
• Approves PPAP for changed components
• Processes suppliers change requests and waiver requests
• Performs supplier audits
• Supports manufacturing with supplier quality problem resolution.
• Issues and supervises claims to suppliers
• Facilitates the supplier problem solving process by supervising and approving 8D reports from suppliers
• Supports Incoming Inspection by supervising tasks execution and assigning priorities
• Leads improvement projects for quality issues
  

Background & Skills

The ideal candidate possesses these skills.

• Technical university education or equivalent job experience
• Practical competences in applying 7 quality tools, problem solving skills, ability to decompose complex problems into solvable elements to address root causes of failures
• 8D method practitioner with strong focus on prevention for production stop
• APQP process understanding, particularly PPAP approval process
• FMEA, control plan, flow chart, MSA, SPC – experience in using this tools in manufacturing environment
• IATF 16949 internal auditor or at least familiar with requirements regarding suppliers and purchased components
• Project management experience as a team member or project lead
• ISO 9001 / VDA 6.3 experience would be an advantage
• Six Sigma Greenbelt certification would be an advantage
