ŁÓDŹ SHARED SERVICE CENTRE

Wella Company’s new Shared Services Centre (SSC) in Łódź will support financial process teams and serve as an IT Centre of Excellence (COE) for the EMEA region. THE ROLE

We are actively looking for an IT functional architect for the R&D functional domain. This functional SME will interface with R&D business teams and our IT technical delivery and service management team, to ensure that:
  • The demand from the R&D business is translated into technical recommendation, product roadmaps and domain architectural decisions
  • Requirements from the R&D business are mapped to our platforms and translated into requirements that can be implemented
  • Functional impact of issues and incidents (for the R&D applications) is clearly understood and workarounds are identified and agreed with the business
Key Responsibilities
  • Serves as R&D functional IT expert (e.g. Packaging, Formula, registration) in IT Wella
  • Acts as technical interface between Wella IT architecture team and our IT delivery and run partners
  • Works with R&D community and with BAU IT teams to review BAU demands / change requests / process improvements
  • Translates R&D functional needs into and operational requirements for changes
  • Develops appropriate technical solution/requirements for the IT delivery teams
  • Reviews incidents affecting the R&D domain and, where appropriate, help creating workarounds and interventions
  • Supports decision making by drafting design options / business cases, change requests and presenting to Design Authority
  • Participates in project meetings to gain knowledge of solutions, architecture and overall direction of travel of the R&D IT landscape and provides input based on current demands/requirements
  • Communicates actively with appropriate levels across the organization, including IT and R&D business teams
  • Works with the Enterprise architects to help define architecture standards, patterns and policies
  • Ensure project adherence to the architecture principles
  • Proven commercial experience of developing enterprise solutions
  • Ability to drive the understanding and adoption of the businesses plans and goals
  • Deep understanding of effective migration strategies key architectural components, balancing risk and delivery of benefit
  • Strong systems delivery background and understanding of agile methodologies
Qualifications
  • R&D business and process experience (e.g. PLM – Innovation, New Product Development)
  • IT solution design, project management, delivery and sourcing experience
  • Working knowledge of SAP PLM-RD solution is a must
  • Strong communication ability facing technology and business teams as well as vendors
  • Self-starter, ability to work at own initiative
  • Knowledge of industry trends and best practices
  • 5 years of experience in architect position
  • Project management and/or business analysis experience in a plus
