Reconciliation & Proofing Senior Analyst (Hybrid)

The Reconciliation & Proofing Senior Analyst is a seasoned professional role in Trustee Department that covers NAV review reconciliation of EMEA funds. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and workflow for the area or function. Responsible for automating and standardization NAV review process across four jurisdictions with focus on quality and timeliness of performed tasks. Involved in coaching and sharing knowledge amongst the teams. Significant exposure to Operations, Product, Technology and Change teams.

Responsibilities:

• Support the management and team of Front to Back reconciliation, identifying operational risk and proposing process improvements
• Provide value-added perspective and advice that contributes to the standardization and digitization of the area
• Responsible for own work to support business teams for assigned Operations area
• Resolve complex process problems (client, system, breaks) where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of procedures, workflows and industry standards
• Make a significant contribution to change-the-bank projects and offers solutions at an advanced level
• Serve as an analytical and procedural expert, representing a unit or team to support deliverables/initiatives in automation project
• Escalate control gaps and issues to senior management with focus on Citi’s principles and values of organizational culture
• Identify control deficiencies and implements appropriate procedures and solutions to mitigate any risk or control losses
• Create, develop and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, management, internal (front office) /external clients and stakeholders (Finance, control, technology, etc.), and seeks to understand their needs and provides solutions
• Persuade and influence others through collaborative communication skills; may negotiate with external parties

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
• 5-8 years of experience in financial industry – Fund Accounting, Reconciliation or Custody would be an advantage
• Have subject matter expert in one (or more) specific skill sets, business areas or products – investment funds, financial assets, asset servicing, breaks reconciliation,
• Proven record of working on projects within team environment, including business analysis
• Proactive problem-solving experience
