As Senior Program Manager, you will join the Dolby.io team to help bring developers simple, trustworthy, spectacular API experiences that transcend their audio, video, and voice expectations.

This is a senior technical role with the Dolby.io Interactivity API team which provides the architecture behind our rich media communication cloud offering. You will be working with the full stack of solutions powering the Interactivity APIs from API services, media processing, and client SDKs. You will play a pivotal role in delivering a platform which is resilient, maintainable, and scalable.

You will use your business and technical acumen to ensure that programs are efficiently executed to meet the strategic market needs and opportunities. You will drive complex programs from initiation to delivery. In this role, you will work closely with engineering, product management, and other disciplines to lead complex, technical programs. You can expect to handle a variety of demanding programs with multiple cross-functional dependencies and team dynamics.


Responsibilities:

  • Broad and deep technical and business knowledge – lead multiple programs within Interactivity while coordinating timelines, dependencies and priorities with peers managing other technology stacks.
  • Partner with Product Management & Engineering to create effective product roadmaps with mapped dependencies & aligned to company priorities using a scaled agile framework.
  • Apply innovative thinking and creative approaches to lead process and product development to enable Dolby.io to nimbly adapt to the competitive cloud market. Be willing and able to identify, propose and implement new business processes to this end.
  • Champion agile transformation and software development best practices for Engineering and Product Management teams.
  • Responsible for tracking and managing backlogs, dependencies, risks, mitigations, resources, quality bar and release criteria across scrum teams. Assist teams in resolving barriers impeding progress.
  • Be responsible for successful delivery of key initiatives and tracking of Objectives & Key Results.
  • Drive effective and accurate communication across the business group and to senior leadership.
  • Provide vision, strategy, and business objective alignment to lead end-to-end initiative implementation.
  • Contribute to the refinement of program management methodologies.
  • Identify risks and issues, develop risk mitigation strategies, and define an escalation process.
  • Manage effective decision-making with leadership/sponsors.
  • Align team members and stakeholders to the core vision and values for the program/project, ensuring everyone works together as an effective and cohesive unit.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10+ years of technical program management or related software development experience.
  • Experience in agile/scrum methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of technology architecture concepts & software development.
  • Proven track record of collaborating with product management, engineering, platform, and business leadership to make program execution successful.
  • Able to effectively manage ambiguity and competing priorities to help teams prioritize and focus.
  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communications skills with strong documentation skillsets; highly organized with the ability to multi-task and manage shifting priorities on tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with program managing large-scale, cross-functional programs related to API integrations/SaaS.
  • Professional experience with VoIP, IP Conferencing and related technologies.
  • Experience in operating scrum of scrums and scaled agile frameworks.
  • Experience with AHA/JIRA is a plus.
